A giclée is a fine art print created by using a specialized high resolution inkjet printer. The prints stand apart with their extremely high level of quality, longevity and value compared to a standard print.

I work with a Fine Art Trade Guild accredited printmaker for my giclée prints.
The Fine Art Trade Guild sets standards for print publishing in order to protect the interests of the public and maintain confidence in the publishing of fine art prints.
Only prints by members of the Fine Art Trade Guild are permitted to use the official guild logo.
The Fine Art Trade Guild logo is on the Certificate of Authenticity received with every order for my giclée prints.
The Paper:
The quality of the paper used in a giclée print is extremely important. Fine art paper mills such as Hahnemühle have been producing artist papers for over 435 years.
All of my giclées are printed on 310gsm Hahnemühle German Etching paper and meets the highest industry standards regarding density, colour gamut, colour graduation and image sharpness. This acid and lignin-free paper also meets the most exacting requirements for age resistance.
The printing:
To qualify for the title of a Fine Art Giclée Print it must be made on archival quality coated paper and printed with pigment-based archival inks, which are UV stable
The Fine Art Trade Guild has set minimum standards for a giclée print – it must score 6 or more on the Blue Wool Scale for lightfastness, with an acidity level of between pH7 and pH9 to minimise discolouring.
A giclée print made using pigment-based archival inks can be lightfast for up to 100+ years, but this depends on factors such as paper type and storage conditions.
By using pigment-based archival inks, the archival properties of a giclée print are significantly higher than traditional silkscreen or litho prints.
